Marie Baláčová has become the Head of Cushman & Wakefield’s Research Team for the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. She will focus on deeper cooperation with the teams in the region in her new position.
Marie Baláčová joined the company’s Research Team in May 2017 as a Senior Analyst. Since 1 November, she has been at the helm of the market research team for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Her agenda includes collecting and analysing data related to the real estate market. At the same time she focuses on evaluating the socio-economic impact and on the relationships between retail property markets in Central and Eastern Europe.
Marie will also closely cooperate with the Head of the CEE Research Team. Denis Sokolov, Cushman & Wakefield’s Partner in Moscow, has been appointed to this position. Their collective goal is setting up more efficient coordination between the individual offices across the region and more intensive use of the data collected in the local markets. The Prague office will develop analytical activities with a view to supporting the other teams as well as preparing current reports and studies about the latest trends in the commercial real estate markets using the collected data.
Marie graduated from the University of Economics in Prague in International European Studies and Diplomacy and was a Fullbright Visiting Scholar at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She speaks English, German and Russian. Her hobbies include playing the piano, opera singing and dancing.
