Giving back to support communities and those less fortunate is a priority at the heart of our brand, fueling the passion of our people around the world.
For three years our staff has raised money, purchased, and delivered Christmas gifts to Weldon House, a supportive housing program for women and children of need. C&W’s support means so much to these families and for our part it’s great to be a part of the giving.
Men Behaving Boldly, Standing Up for Kids – Charity Event
Craig Trenholm from our Toronto West office received an award for his philanthropic efforts helping to raise money and awareness for this great cause. Men Behaving Boldly, Standing Up for Kids is a charity event that supports the Peel Children’s Aid Foundation – a charity helping to ensure no kid is left behind in the community. To date, this event has been hosted for 6 years with a total of $60K raised.
Fore the Kids Golf Classic
Cushman & Wakefield is a proud sponsor of this event that has been Chaired by Craig Trenholm from our Toronto West office for the past three years. In 2012 the event raised $50K.
C&W Washington DC
C&W’s Washington DC Future Leaders hosted a local Boys & Girls club for trick-or-treating through our C&W-managed building. Almost all tenants participated, but the C&W floor by far gave out the most candy.
Through their Cheers for Peers Fridays Jeans drive, the Phoenix office donated $250 to Phoenix Children’s Foundation, which helped purchase iPads for young patients to use during their treatments.
C&W Mexico City
Our office proudly supports Ser Humano–La Casa Hogar, A.C., a long-term home for children with HIV/AIDS between one month and 14 years of age. Founded in 1997, it has successfully pursued the adoption of many children.
As part of our ongoing successful partnership with the United Way of Russia, our staff members make regular visits to the Bolshaya Peremena educational center for orphans.
In November 2011, we joined the Terry Fox Run, organized by the Canadian Chamber Vietnam. Not only were funds raised to help disadvantaged people, but the event also gave our staff an opportunity to participate in a fun sports activity.
