C&W Awarded Sole Agency To List Brand New Class “A” Leed Gold Office Building

The Challenge

Tri Eagle Developments (Tri Eagle) developed a brand new, class “A”, 3-storey LEED Gold office building, anchored by Vancity’s head office. The current market had higher than average office vacancy rates and with two floors of vacant office space just over 5,000 square feet (sf) per floor, Tri Eagle was finding it challenging to occupy the space. Given the circumstances, Tri Eagle who usually handles all their leasing requirements in-house, decided it was time to hire a professional commercial brokerage firm to help expedite securing a tenant.


The Solution

After being awarded exclusive rights to represent Tri Eagle’s listing, Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) promptly began developing a targeted marketing strategy for the property which generated a lot of interest from professional office tenants.


The Result

C&W’s unique marketing strategy resulted in multiple lease transactions causing the vacancy rate in the building to drop from 66% to below 30%. Impressed by C&W’s results Tri Eagle awarded C&W to handle a large majority of their business within their office portfolio.
